What fun this was to make! and so easy. I am a very visual person so I literally layed the cloth on the table to see how to make it. I took it one step at a time and took some photos along the way. The instructions are a little in depth for here, but you can go to my website http://www.thesewbox.com/ and download them for free! I just loved my table cover when I finished. You will to! To be more specific, go here!
You can find my instructions in pdf format. Let me know how you do and send me some pics! I will add them to the site here for others to see your creativity.
I actually used a vintage table cloth for mine. I literally layed it on the featherweight table to see how I wanted it to fit. It was large enough for two! So, I guess I can now make one for a sewing friend. The next photos are the results.
I added a pocket to the side. Wonderful place to keep those items you just need to have close by. I have my Singer book, of course.
You can just add so much to it. I put some cute bow ties to wrap around the legs. You might want to add some larger lace or some grosgrain ribbon!
No matter what you do, just have fun and make it your own!
