Quilting Gloves

You either love them or hate them. I have quilted for years (and years and years) but never felt the need to use them. Couldn't see how they helped me any better than guiding with my hands.

Well! Was I pleasantly surprised when I gathered several pairs, from various manufacturers, and tried them out. Whoo Hoo! I was hooked and will always keep a pair handy.

Using the gloves was much easier and the fabric did seem to just flow. I also noticed less tension in my shoulders as I used them. I never noticed how much effort it really was to move the fabric, and how much my hands slipped.

Now, you might ask, "Which pair worked best?". Well, my unscientific survey consisted of several friends, myself, and about 4 brands of gloves. Each of us were different in our choice! We did find it hard to choose between them, but I liked those that were very lightweight and had little dot grips on them, while others liked those with more skin like appearance.

So, take a second look at them the next time you are in the quilting store. You might be glad to try them out. Better yet, try to find some on sale until you know for sure!

Back to my table topper!
Ready for the binding and, you guessed it! I am trying various binders out to see how I like them. Always looking to make the job easier, which equals more fun!

Happy Sewing & Quilting!
