Binding a Quilt with a Serger

I am always looking for new ways to do things. I just finished a lightweight raw edge applique quilt and didn't want the traditional bound edge. Found that using the serger to do a nice rolled hem edge and adding large rick-rack finished it off beautifully. Wasn't heavy and framed it just enough (for me).

The center of the quilt was based on one seen in an Alex Anderson quilt book, and the rest is simply raw edge applique - easy as can be!

Hope your sewing projects are moving along and share your new and easy ideas!

Happy Sewing!
