After quite a bit of writing and editing, time for a fun FUN project. Applique pattern by Jenny Haskins and scraps from the stash. In no time I had two nice sets of hand towels for the bath, and a little more whimsical than usual! Lovely satin stitch using the BERNINA and I most generally use the Open Toe foot to give me good visibility and secure the fabric over the feed dogs nicely. Sewing a nice even satin stitch is not difficult even around curves and corners - when you come to a corner or a "v" in the pattern, pause and think about where the next stitch will be falling. Put the needle down in this spot, raise the foot, and pivot. Continue sewing and you are off!
