I use my tailor's ham for a pin cushion. It is always on the edge of the ironing board and so easy to remove the pins and stick in the ham. I can quickly go from my design wall to the sewing machine, the ironing board, and before ironing I can stick the pins in the ham! No need for another pin cushion (or sticking into the ironing board!).
My newly released book, The Sewing Machine Classroom, is full of little inserts called Sewing 101. All are super tips! Maybe several will help your sewing. They definitely helped mine.
An especially interesting (and fun!) chapter was the Stabilizers and Interfacing. So many to choose from so which is better for that silk dress?
Get ready for March. It is National Craft Month! What will you be doing?
Happy Stitchery,
Charlene
