Can I pay by money order instead of online?
Yes. Please use the Contact Form to let us know the items you wish to purchase and we will respond with an invoice and address for mailing your payment.
What is your return policy?
Refunds are given for shipping damage only. Please check before ordering to ensure the part fits your sewing machine. If item is damaged in shipping, please contact us within 2 days of receiving the item. Contact charlene@thesewbox.com.
In the rare cases of the item not fitting your machine, please see our exchange policy. We strive to ensure you get the correct items you can use.
All merchandise must be returned in the condition it was received. We must receive the damaged item within 7 days of contacting us. Refunds are given for purchase price only, and do not reflect any shipping charges.
What is your shipping policy?
We are dedicated to getting your package to you as quickly as possible and through the least expensive manner. To ensure adequate delivery time most items are shipped through USPS First Class Mail or Priority Mail. Books will be sent by Media Mail, unless stated differently by us or at your request.
If paying by money order or certified check, merchandise will be shipped after the check has cleared the bank.
What is your exchange policy?
Exchanges can be made. Email us for a return/exchange approval. The item must be returned to us in original, re-stocking condition and within 7 days of receipt of the item. Return shipping cost would be your responsibility. The exchange value is the original purchase price, and does not reflect any shipping charges.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
As our shipments are usually mailed same day, some times within minutes of your completed purchase, cancellations of the order are not feasible. We ask that you choose your items carefully, and keep this in mind as you complete your order.

What if I order something that is not available?
The shopping cart should not accept an order if the items are not available. There can be a human error when entering inventory, and you will be notifed immediately. Depending on your wishes, we will either send the item as soon as it arrives, or refund your entire purchase price. If you are wishing to purchase an item that is not presently available, please send us a short message using the Contact Form. We can then let you know the estimated availability timeline.
Can I Special Order an item not on your site? What is the refund policy?
We make every attempt to help our customers get the items that fit their machines, or they can use. At times, items are available that can be ordered specially for a customer at their request. If this is done, please note they are NOT refundable, nor returnable.
A Special Order is any item we do not carry and order specially from a vendor for the customer. As we guarantee those items we sell, we cannot always do that for items requested by a customer.
As a reminder, all items returned to us except those which have a default, will have a handling fee - unless we have waived that fee. The restocking fee is always $6.00 for non-defective items.
