Release lever in the back lets you raise above your embroidery hoop with ease.

Quilters! This is an excellent feature for putting your quilts under the foot.

Try pearl thread or metallic for some decorative effects! Go a step more, change the threads in your bobbin (and yes, you might need to change the tension at tad to accommodate). You will achieve beautiful results.

For smaller projects, I will hand wind my embroidery threads (heavier cottons) around a vintage wooden spool to use as my top thread.

A nice sparkle stitch when using different colors for your top and bottom.
